I remember that day in Paris and the moment I fell under the spell of handmade jewelry! As a music student in Paris, I was entranced by the beauty and creative energy of this magical city and was devouring the rich culture all around me -- from art to cuisine, from music to dance, from architecture to gardens. I took long walks in different neighborhoods where I discovered so many aesthetic delights at every turn!
It would be years later, and coupled with a career in music, that I gave myself the gift of learning the art and craft of handmade jewelry fabrication. In 2009 I started studying at the renowned Jewelry Arts Institute in New York City where I learned ancient methods of jewelry making. These skills which include sawing, hammering, texturing, gemstone setting and granulation are the basis upon which I create my jewelry -- wearable art that combines design elements both classic and modern.
